In what could be a brilliant casting move, Cher is in talks to star alongside Christina Aguilerain the Screen Gems' musical Burlesque. The veteran singer/actress (remember she did win an Oscar for Moonstruck) would play the owner of the burlesque club where Christina works. The film, to be directed by Steve Antin -- the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin -- centers on a small-town girl who discovers her dreams at a Cabaret-like venue. Cher's character, sources say, will serve as Aguilera's mentor.

Christina Aguilera says her son Max loves to do housework! Despite the fact that he’s only 16 months old, Christina says one of Max’s favorite pastimes is helping out with the cleaning up that needs to be done around their home.

“Vacuum was one of his first words! He has a cleaning fetish and

The stars were out in force at celebrity blogger Perez Hilton's birthday party in Los Angeles on Saturday night. The Jonas Brothers and Christina Aguilera turned up for the pink carpeted bash at Hollywood's Viper Room.

It seems that a gist from HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL star Zac Efron was the highlight of Perez's night though:

"He sent me a bottle of champagne to my hotel room, which made me squeal like a little schoolgirl,"

With it came a note.

Cristina is going Burlesque

Cristina Aguilera is reportedly set to swap the stage for the big screen by taking on her first lead movie role - as a burlesque dancer.

She has garnered a string of small acting roles in recent years, with cameos in 2004 animated hit Shark Tale and an upcoming appearance as herself in Judd Apatow film, Get Him to the Greek.

But now the star is rumoured to be in negotiations to take on her first full length project - in new movie Burlesque, written by Steven Antin, the brother of Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin.
